On August 30, 2023, His Majesty King Edmund K. Paki-Silva II, Sovereign Monarch of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, issued a royal proclamation reaffirming the sacred duty of the Kingdom to its people, its land, and its legacy. Rooted in faith, guided by unity, and grounded in the heritage of the Hawaiian Nation, this mission calls upon all citizens to rise together in rebuilding the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi.

King Edmund opened his message with a heartfelt pule (prayer), asking God to bless the Kingdom and its people with healing, strength, and peace. He emphasized that challenges are opportunities for growth, and through divine guidance, the Hawaiian Nation can become a light to the world.

Tracing his sacred royal genealogy to the ancient high chiefs of Mauʻi, King Edmund reminded the people that the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi was lawfully restored in 2002 and has since been rebuilt not through words, but through consistent action rooted in aloha and kuleana (responsibility).

In response to recent tragedies, the King pledged immediate and ongoing support — providing food, water, medical care, and traditional Ho‘oponopono healing practices to those in need. He also announced plans to secure unspoiled lands to establish temporary modular homes while lost communities are reconstructed, ensuring every person has shelter, safety, and dignity during recovery.

King Edmund called on all citizens to uphold justice by documenting any mistreatment from outside authorities, so those who have disrespected or harmed the Hawaiian people can be held accountable. Above all, he urged the nation to stand united, believe in the restoration of their rightful government, and know they are loved, protected, and blessed.

Closing with the words of his cousin, Queen Liliʻuokalani — “Love of country is deep-seated in the breast of every Hawaiian” — the King reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to rebuilding the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi through faith, unity, and heritage.
