Today, His Majesty King Edmund Keliʻi Paki-Silva Jr., Aliʻi Nui Mō‘ī of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi, extended a heartfelt message to His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In his letter, the King voiced grave concern over reports of violence and unrest affecting the people of Nigeria. He expressed compassion for the victims, calling upon President Buhari to rise as a leader of peace, justice, and integrity — an example not only for Africa, but for the entire world.


King Edmund reminded President Buhari that as indigenous leaders, they share a sacred duty to govern with honor, dignity, and compassion, rejecting tyranny and cruelty in all forms.
